The Dyson groom tool removes loose hair directly from your dog before it’s shed around the home. It then self-cleans – sucking hair from the bristles straight into your vacuum. No mess.
Dyson engineers have developed tools that make it easy to clean dirt from awkward places – tight gaps, high corners, and underneath low furniture. These tools include the Up-top tool that twists to clean on top of hard to reach surfaces, and the Flexi crevice tool, which bends and flexes to clean around corners.
There are Dyson tools for cleaning different types of surface all over the home – up top, down below and in-between. The Soft dusting brush has soft bristles to gently clean surfaces and furnishings such as lampshades, blinds and computer keyboards. The Stubborn dirt brush has stiff bristles for dislodging ground-in dirt from carpets. And the Swivel hard floor tool has soft brushes to gently remove dirt from wood and other delicate floor surfaces.
Dyson tools are engineered for removing dust and allergens from around the home. These tools include the Mattress tool, which has lint pickers on its front and back edges that gather, ball and then release fibres into the airflow, where they are sucked away.
The Dyson microbiology lab was set up in 2001, and contains the kind of equipment more commonly associated with hospital laboratories. Dyson scientists use the lab to research ways of eliminating allergens to make the home cleaner and safer for allergy sufferers. To do this they cultivate and study household allergens. They even have a dust mite farm, and the allergenic mite faeces are used for cyclone and performance testing.
