In personal mode, air is accelerated through a 2.5mm aperture and directed over an airfoil-shaped focus ramp for a concentrated stream of air towards the user.
Jet Focus control enables diffused mode for wide projection to mix the surrounding air. So, unlike others, it heats the room quickly and evenly.
In diffused mode, a jet of air is released from a second aperture. As the two jets meet, entrainment guides the airflow over a 45 degree projector, releasing a wide stream of powerful airflow.

The Dyson Hot+Cool™ fan heater has no blades or visible heating elements. It also has tip-over, automatic cut-out, so it switches off when it has been accidentally knocked over. It is also easy to clean and maintains temperature below dust burning point - so no worrying burning smell.
Using an intelligent thermostat, the Dyson Hot+Cool™ fan heater maintains your target temperature while you sleep. Or you can set it to turn off using the built-in sleep timer after preset intervals ranging from 15 minutes to 9 hours.
The new Dyson Hot+Cool™ fan heater has been engineered to be 75% quieter than the previous generation. To lower noise levels, streamlined airflow paths direct air through the machine with greater efficiency and reduced turbulence. During development and testing, engineers used a semi-anechoic chamber to measure sound power levels, and high-speed cameras to help identify and visualise airflow turbulences.
There aren’t any fast-spinning blades or visible heating elements. And it automatically cuts out if it’s tipped over.
The heating elements never exceed 200 °C, which is below the burning point of dust. Dust doesn’t burn, so there’s no worrying smell.
